I've been working with PHP since 2000, and I have applied PHP/MySQL solutions in most of my work. I also have some experience with the Zend Framework.
I started working with MySQL in 2001, and have used it for database solutions ranging from 10 rows in 1 table to millions of rows in dozens of tables. I have some experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
I have used JavaScript since about 2004. Currently, I favor the jQuery library as a quick way to access a very robust set of methods. I have also implemented AJAX solutions through both PHP/MySQL and .NET web services.
I was introduced to Flash and ActionScript in 2003, using it regularly since then for interactive features. I don't currentl favor Flash as a go-to solution, preferring instead to go to the jQuery or jQueryUI library for similar interactive solutions.
I was introduced to Photoshop in 1995, and I immediately fell in love. I have focused on programming in my career, but not to detriment of my graphic design skills. Photoshop still figures heavily into my work.
My work with PHP and ActionScript have used XML heavily in many areas, including both importing and exporting XML data. I have used JSON in several jQuery AJAX solutions.
My love for the web started in 1995, when I learned HTML and created my first web site. Although I would be embarrassed now to show anyone that site, I have always kept up with the latest trends and standards. I have written XHTML for many years, and I'm very excited for HTML5's possibilities. I am currently working on my canvas skills as I begin to focus on HTML5.
I am experienced with both Wordpress and Drupal, including modification and customization of both, and I have some experience with Joomla and Mambo.
I have been coding in Java since 1998, but my experience is not extensive. I have also coded in C# (.NET), Visual Basic, Python, and C++. I have experience with MVC architecture..
I am an experienced writer and editor, which allows me to generate copy as I code. I've found this skill to be incredibly helpful in development.
I have four years of experience as a supervisor, managing a team that created web design, content, and HTML email broadcasts with consistent messaging..
I am an accomplished public speaker, including experience as a stand-up comedian and stage actor.
